The Great Trinity Forest
Landfill Restoration and Re-Vegetation
Green Scaping, L.P. worked hand-in-hand with the City of Dallas and Rodman Excavation to perform the closure and restoration of land at the Deepwood Landfill, an illegal landfill site located in South Dallas. After all polluted areas were secured, Green Scaping began construction of this portion of The Great Trinity Forest urban park. Construction included bottomland hardwood forests, riparian zones, wetlands, open water ponds and grasslands. The site is now home the Trinity River Audubon Center.
The center plays host to 25,000 school children annually for its science and educational initiatives in North Texas. The center hosts international visitors and locals alike providing a restorative place in the forest for everyone to visit and enjoy.
